The Lisbon MBA Lisboa – 2nd Edition Tourism Innovation Competition – submit your application until February 14th, 2017

A tourist’s sightseeing experience often lacks the digital tools needed to make it a great one.

HOW CAN WE USE TECHNOLOGY TO ENHANCE THOSE MOMENTS?

We wish to create innovative strategies, focused on digital, with the objective of enhancing the experience of visitors both on monuments and museums. We intend to make the places, very attractive places for visitors, offering them a better and more complete experience, ensuring their general and global promotion.

HOW CAN YOU WIN?

The winning solution will be distinguished by the originality of the proposal, the consistency of the arguments and promotion strategy as well as the possibility of actually being put into practice at a global level.

THE PRIZE

The best ideas will be presented at an international conference where the winner will receive a support from Turismo de Portugal to implement the technology in Portugal. We’ll also have a monetary value for the second and third place.

HOW TO APPLY

Please download and read carefully the competition rules and submit your application until February 14th, 2017.
E-mail must contain attached documents with your application that follows every rule of article 4 from the competition rules for the mandatory summary and descriptive memory, as well as any additional links or documents (optional) that you’d like to add to your application.

Web Summit news from Beta-I newsletter

Lisbon is under siege.

The Web Summit and its 50.000 people army are standing at our gates!

Well, maybe not exactly a siege, that’s just part of my medieval nonsensical dream (watching Monty Python’s Holy Grail last
night wasn’t a good idea). But, the Web Summit is in fact joining us in
the quest for a better future, where technology and ingenious
entrepreneurs take the spotlight.

And you better be ready because the gates are about to open.

So, hear me out, because the Web Summit is more than the conference itself,
you have to know where to go. The real trick, experts say, is in
attending the side-events (aka parties) and meet with the
revolutionaries and makers of the future.

Want to know where to go during the Web Summit week and what we’re up to at Beta-i? Click in the button below:

Separadores-newsletter-websummit-03.png

And now for something completely different… while the whole world is talking about the Web Summit, at Beta-i we have something else coming up. That is the Smart Open Lisboa Demo Day tomorrow! Register here to attend and meet the startups that will shape the future of Lisbon.

Still on events, our own Tourism Day, is getting close. It will be on the 29th of November. Find out more about this edition and if you have a startup in tourism apply to pitch.

On acceleration, we have a very special announcement. We’ve partnered up with SIBS, the pioneers in the payments field with products such as Multibanco and ViaVerde, and created Pay Forward, the first fintech accelerator of Portugal. Check out and find out more.

We have also kick-started Cork Challenge with Amorim Cork Ventures in Barcelona, and our Lisbon Challenge is going better than ever. Watch the Lisbon Challenge Pizza Night video where our startups get to visit Uniplaces and meet with its co-founder Miguel Amaro.

And just as a cheery on top of the cake, we have also partnered with Nova University and we’re doing a Post-graduate degree on Digital Future Businesses. See all the details and let us know if you’re interested.

Cheers,
