EU-Startups Summit – 2-3 May @Barcelona – Pitch Competition: Your ideas are welcome 🚀 – Newsletter

Hi,

You also just returned to the office? Welcome back and Happy 2019. 🙂

I already told you about our upcoming EU-Startups Summit (May 2-3, Barcelona). We’ll have cool speakers (etc.), great workshops, networking… but the real highlight of this event will be our big Pitch Competition with 15 of Europe’s most promising early-stage startups! 🙂

I just published a call for applications. If you know an awesome startup that qualifies to participate in our Pitch Competition, please spread the word! The winner of this year’s Pitch Competition will receive a prize package worth €70,000 and the attention of our 1,200 attendees (incl. hundreds of investors and the media). Additional info regarding the prize package and our high-profile investor jury will be announced soon!

If you don’t want to pitch but would like to join us at the EU-Startups Summit anyways, I’d recommend you secure your ticket soon. If you use the early bird code EU-NL-25 (valid till January 31), you’ll get an exclusive 25% discount. Tickets are available here.

By the way: A few days ago we published an interview with the Travelperk Founder & CEO Avi Meier (Europe’s fastest growing business travel startup), who will also speak at our EU-Startups Summit. Another nice interview that our writer Bojana just published is the one with SumUp Co-founder Marc-Alexander Christ (fintech unicorn).

Filipe, if you’re involved in the organisation of events, like myself, you might wanna check out our post about 5 European startups taking the stress out of event planning, published last week by our Head of Content, Mary Loritz. Also just a few days ago, Mary published an interesting article about 10 European startups that raised mega-rounds of €100 million or more in 2018.

If you’re like us excited about women in tech, I recommend our recent post about The good, the bad, and the exceptional of women in tech in 2018, brought to you by our contributor Mariaclaudia from beautiful Italy. 🙂

Since it’s the beginning of the year we also just updated our rate card for EU-Startups. If you want to advertise with us, the leading online magazine about startups in Europe, and reach over 130,000 founders, startup enthusiasts and investors per month, let me know and I’ll forward you our rate card. 🙂

That’s all I wanted to share with you today, Filipe. Have a nice day!

Sunny Greetings,
Thomas
