We are half way through the acceleration programme EDP Open Innovation. 15 Brazilian, Portuguese and Spanish teams have been working hard on their businesses by learning the 9 step FastStart methodology, at Fábrica de Startups in Lisbon.

They are looking forward to present their projects to you on the 2nd November at the EDP Open Innovation – Final Gala where they will compete for the coveted prize of 50.000€ and the opportunity to showcase their business at the Web Summit.

As startups portuguesas têm até 31 de julho para se candidatar ao Road 2 Web Summit.
 O anúncio dos vencedores será feito a 21 de setembro.
um concurso destinado a startups portuguesas que se queiram apresentar naquele que é considerado o maior evento de empreendedorismo e tecnologia da Europa.
Das 65 empresas finalistas, 60 terão acesso a um bilhete gratuito de um dia com stand (no valor de mil euros) e cinco ao evento todo (valor estimado de dois mil euros).
Têm ainda direito a quatro bilhetes e acesso a investidores, mentores, workshops e mesas redondas.

Web Summit com 20.000 inscrições em três meses

A 8 meses de a Web Summit invadir o MEO Arena, em Lisboa, perto de 20 mil pessoas já compraram o bilhete.
Os números foram avançados pelo presidente da Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, Fernando Medina, numa conferência de imprensa.
Segundo Paddy Cosgrave, líder e fundador da Web Summit, as estimativas apontam para que Lisboa receba cerca de 50 mil pessoas de 8 a 10 de novembro, vindas de 150 países.
A Web Summit é considerada a maior conferência de tecnologia, empreendedorismo e inovação da Europa e vai acontecer entre 8 e 10 de novembro no MEO Arena e na Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL).
São esperadas 50 mil pessoas. As edições de 2017 e 2018 estão também asseguradas, com possibilidade de estender o contrato por mais dois anos.
O investimento para o evento é de 1,3 milhões de euros e é financiado pelo Turismo de Lisboa, Turismo de Portugal e pela AICEP – Portugal Global.
Para a edição de 2016, são esperadas cerca de 50 mil participantes. Na edição do ano passado, que marcou a despedida de Dublin, estiveram presentes cerca de 42.000 pessoas de 134 países e cerca de 1000 oradores.
